The Armenian Adaptation of the Ecclesiastical History of Socrates Scholasticus [Commonly known as "The Shorter Socrates"], translation of the Armenian text and commentary by Robert W. Thomson (Sterling, VA., 2001),
Hebrew University Armenian Studies Series, volume 3, Michael E. Stone, editor, in 272 bookmarked and searchable pdf pages. This work covers the history of Christianity in the Byzantine Empire from the period of the first Christian emperor, Constantine, through about the year 450, and was seen by its author as a continuation of Eusebius'
History of the Church. The Greek text of the
History has survived, as has an accurate Armenian translation, probably made in the late 5th century. The Armenian text subsequently was abridged (around 695), with some valuable additional material included. It is this abridgement which Thomson has translated and studied. Attached to the document are links to additional resources, as well as a bookmarked and searchable English translation of the full Greek text, edited by Philip Schaff. Scanned by Robert Bedrosian. Internet Archive also has
the Classical Armenian text of the original "longer" edition (1897).
